July 7th - Two Years of Progress
Restoring a mid-century home isn’t about racing to the finish line. It’s about making thoughtful decisions that respect the home’s original character while preparing it for decades to come.
These three photos tell that story.
The first shows Laswell before the backyard renovations in 2024. The second captures one of our earliest milestones—the completion of the pool renovation on July 7, 2024, bringing new life back to the backyard and restoring the home’s connection to outdoor living.
The third photo, taken exactly two years later on July 7, 2026, shows the next chapter. The new windows are finally installed, returning the clean lines and openness that define desert modern architecture. It’s a subtle change, but one that transforms how the house feels from both inside and out.
Progress at Laswell has been deliberate. Every decision has been guided by one question:
How do we preserve the spirit of the original home while preparing it for the future?
There’s still plenty of work ahead, but seeing these moments side by side is a reminder that restoration isn’t measured only by what’s finished. It’s measured by every thoughtful step that brings a remarkable home back to life.
Slowly but surely, Laswell is becoming itself again.
